The continual burnt offering and the abomination of desolation

(it is critical that you understand that "the holy place", "the temple" and "the dwelling place of the name" are synonymous)
Please be sure you understand the above before continuing.

The Prophecy spoken of by Daniel

8:11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.
8:12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

9:27 And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that makes desolate; and even to the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate.

Historical background information :

Matthew

24:15 When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Mark
14.But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
It should be noted how great the significance of the holy place.

II Thessalonians 2:

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called Elohim, or that is worshipped; so that he as Elohim sits in the temple of Elohim, shewing himself that he is Elohim.
Again, note how great the significance of the holy place.

Isaiah

1:13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me;
An "oblation" is a sacrifice, incense represents prayers. This prophecy states that these sacrifices are in vain, that vain prayers are an abomination.
Isaiah 66:3 ...Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.
This is a reference to Babylon with an allusion to the abomination, because:
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.Genesis 11:4
It is important to remember that the tower of Babylon  was man's attempt at making his own way into heaven.

Further, Isaiah 66:3 is itself a parallel scripture with Isaih 1:13,   see that:
vain sacrifices/thier own ways (Babylon)
incense/abominations - thier soul delights in the incense/way of their own choosing.

Jeremiah 7:30

7:30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, says Yahweh: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.

32:34 But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.

Remembering the significance of the holy place, which is the temple. The temple was created for the name to dwell in, the obvious conclusion is that the abomination is the name of another, sitting where it should not. Because it was created for the name, the obvious desecration would be to substitute a different name.
44:22 So that Yahweh could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which you have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.
So therefore the land will become desolate as a result of  idolatry, which is the spiritual equivalent of adultery. Throughout the Old Testament, idolatry has always been the downfall of Israel. Refer to the entire chapter of Jeremiah 44.

Ezekial

5:11 Wherefore, as I live, says Yahweh Elohim; Surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things, and with all your abominations, therefore will I also diminish you; neither shall my eye spare, neither will I have any pity.
8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of Yahweh's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of Yahweh, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of Yahweh, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
9:4.And Yahweh said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

33:28 For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through.
29 Then shall they know that I am Yahweh, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed.

More re-iteration of the  land will becoming desolate as a result of idolatry. This is a very consistent theme throughout the prophets.

The Interpretation

11.Yea, he magnified himself
Reading from verse 10, we can see that this is Lucifer, according to Isaiah chapter 14
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of Elohim: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
and II Thess. 2:3,4
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposes and exaltes himself above all that is called Elohim, or that is worshipped; so that he as Elohim sits in the temple of Elohim, showing himself that he is Elohim.
Undeniably identifying Lucifer as this same one.
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isaiah 14:14
he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes Daniel 8:25
even to the prince of the host,
The Messiah himself, The way, the truth and the life, The continual burnt offering,
and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away,
The Messiah himself, The way, the truth and the life, The continual burnt offering,

The daily sacrifice is the sacrifice of the lamb for sin; the sacrifice of the Messiah for our sins.

and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.
which is the place of the Name! Therefore, The removal of the continual burnt offering is the removal of the salvation of Yahshua, and the removal of his name from the holy place, and the substition of the name of Lucifer instead. The only question this leaves is "How do we remove the salvation of Yahshua?" The obvious conclusion is contained in the statement itself which we have already stated: The place of the sanctuary, the place of the name. His name, his place has been removed. By following the link above, we find again, that our sacrifices are our prayers, which we do in his name. Removing his name would effectively cast down the sanctuary and remove the sacrifice.
12.And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression,
Read carefully, the nature of the transgression must create an opposition to the host of heaven. What this statement says is this transgression gives Lucifer a host opposed to Yahshua.
But when you see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that her desolation is at hand. Luke 21:20
and it cast down the truth
It cast down the Messiah, the sacrifice, the Way : Salvation.

The abomination cast down the Messiah by taking his place. The word is truth, the word made flesh is Yahshua, Eternal Salvation, The truth, or the word of truth always represents Yahshua. This then means that Lucifer poses as the Messiah, the holy one of Israel and a host would follow him.

to the ground; and it practised, and prospered
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power:

Revelations 13:14
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15.And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25.And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Which again refers to the image of the beast, (Babylon) because:

Daniel 2

34 You saw that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and broke them to pieces.
9:27 And he (Lucifer) shall make a firm covenant a false promise of salvation with many the broad WAY for one week (a time): and in the middle of the week (half a time- the dividing of time) he shall cause the sacrifice of Yahshua  and the oblation to cease; and none shall pray in his name, there will be no salvation for there is no sacrifice. withouth his death there is no remission of sins, and hence, no bringing forth into life. For to enter into his life, we must enter into his death. He is the way into eternal life and there is no other.
The week that is referred to here is the sin offering.  Read the sections on the continual burnt offering below, esp Numbers 28:10
This is until a time, times and half a time.
3 1/2 days, ( a day, days, and half a day,)
Forty two months = 1290 days = 3 1/2 years
Until the dividing of time. The drying up of the river Euphrates (time) to make way for the kings of the East. (the east, the sunrising, the son of the morning star, Lucifer)
And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. Daniel 12:7

And from the time that the continual burnt-offering shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Daniel 12:11

and upon the wing of abominations idolatry in the house of the name shall come one the lie, that makes desolate; the lie in which there is no life and even to the full end, and that determined, shall wrath of Yahweh be poured out upon the desolate. the Idolatrous, the whoremongers and whosever makes or worships the lie.

It should also be remembered here that desolation is that of the womb. When a woman had no child, she was referred to as "desolate". Birth symbolizes bringing forth to life. When we are baptized, we are baptized into his death, and when we are brought out of the water, we are taking part in the resurrection. We are "born" into the spirit, while putting to death the flesh.
And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them Rev 9:6
And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. Rev 9:11

There is no life, because there is no death. This is why men should seek death, because if we died with him, then also would we live with him.

Lets look at this again:

8:11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host,
Which means in and of itself that the sacrifice is taken away. The place of the sacrifice is the place of the Messiah, because the Messiah -IS- the sacrifice. Therefore, the interpretation is that is he would claim a position in place of the Messiah. This can only mean he has placed his name where the name of the Messiah should be.
and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away,
Which means the sanctuary is cast down, because the sacrifice for sin is taken away: The sanctuary, the place of the name is now desolate. Life is ONLY through his name. There is no sacrifice, there is no remission of sins, therefore there is no salvation in it.
This is re-stating that he would claim a position in place of the Messiah.
and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.
Which means the place of the name has become a waste and a desolation. There is no more truth in it, it has become a lie. The word does not dwell there. There is no life in it. Life is ONLY through his name.

This is re-stating that he would claim a position in place of the Messiah

8:12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice
This is re-stating that he would claim a position in place of the Messiah. All those who love and believe the lie, because they recieve not the love of the truth.
by reason of transgression,
This is re-stating that he would claim a position in place of the Messiah
Placing his own name where the Name of Yahshua belongs. this is THE transgression; THE lie.
and it cast down the truth to the ground;
This is re-stating that he would claim a position in place of the Messiah
and it practised, and prospered.

The Continual Burnt Offering is defined as the offering for sin.

Exodus 29:38-46

38 Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually.
39 The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even:
40 And with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil; and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering.
41 And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do thereto according to the meat offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto Yahweh.
42 This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before Yahweh: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.
43 And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory.
44 And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aaron and his sons, to minister to me in the priest's office.
45 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their Elohim.
46 And they shall know that I am Yahweh their Elohim, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am Yahweh their Elohim.

Numbers 28:1-10

1 And Yahweh spoke unto Moses, saying,
2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savour unto me, shall you observe to offer unto me in their due season.
3 And you shall say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which you shall offer unto Yahweh; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering.
4 The one lamb shall you offer in the morning, and the other lamb shall you offer at even;
5 And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a meat offering, mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil.
6 It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto Yahweh.
10 This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.
Verse 10 illustrates that the burnt offering, the continual burnt offering and the drink offering are three distinct offerings.

Deuteronomy 12:5,6

5.But unto the place which Yahweh your Elohim shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall you seek, and there you shall come:
6 And there you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:
7 And there you shall eat before Yahweh your Elohim, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand unto, you and your households, wherein Yahweh your Elohim has blessed you.
The question now becomes "How shall the sacrifice be taken away?" or how can it be taken away? To find this out let us re-state the obvious, that we must have the sacrifice in order for it to be taken away. How then do we have the sacrifice?

Sacrifice

If we remove his name, then we have removed his salvation, Acts 4:12

O Israel, return to Yahweh your Elohim; for you have fallen by your iniquity. 2 Take with you words and return to Yahweh: say to him, Take
away all iniquity, and accept that which is good: so will we render as bullocks the offering of our lips.

Be you therefore imitators of Yahweh, as beloved children; 2 and walk in love, even as the Messiah also loved you, and gave himself up for us,
an offering and a sacrifice to Yahweh for an odor of a sweet smell. Ephesians 5:1,2

Present your bodies as a living sacrifice. - Here Paul does not present a body as a continual burnt offering. Romans 12:1

It is NOT coincidence that Paul used the term "continual" in connection with the term "sacrifice of praise". This is a direct connection between
the sin offering, and confessing the name of Yahshua. It is important to remember the background of the writer, Paul, a learned Pharisee, and the
fact that he was speaking to the Hebrews.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Yahweh, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to Yahweh, which is your spiritual service. Romans 12:1

Through him then let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to Yahweh continually, that is, the fruit of lips which make confession to his name. Hebrews 13:15

Exodus 28:29

29.And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goes in unto the holy place, for a memorial before Yahweh continually.

Exodus 28:36-38

36 And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO YAHWEH.
37 And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.
38 And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before Yahweh.  (Revelations 14:1)

Stone :

Acts 4:10.Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Yahshua Messiah of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom Elohim raised from the dead, even by him does this man stand here before you whole.
11  This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Daniel 2:44.And in the days of these kings shall the Elah of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
45.Forasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great Elah has made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

Stone also indicates "MEMORIAL" which means "NAME"

The Book of Daniel
chapter 8

1 In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after     that which appeared unto me at the first.
2.And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.
3.Then I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
4.I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.
5.And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
6.And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.
7.And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.
8.Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
9.And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
10.And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
11.Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.
12.And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.
13.Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
14.And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
15.And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
16.And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
17.So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
18.Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.
19.And he said, Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.
20.The ram which you saw having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.
21.And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
22.Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
23.And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
24.And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25.And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
26.And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.
27.And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

The Way

Truly, Truly, I say unto you, He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes unto the father but by me.

The day of Yahweh comes as a thief in the night.

The day of Yahweh appears to be someone claiming salvation in a new name.

They sang as it were a new song, and no man could understand that song except the 144,000.

The Book of Isaiah chapter 14

4.That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
5.Yahweh hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
6.He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
7.The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
8.Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
9.Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their
thrones all the kings of the nations.
10.All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?
11.Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
12.How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13.For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of Elohim: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14.I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15.Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16.They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17.That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
18.All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
19.But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones
of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
20.Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.
21.Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
22.For I will rise up against them, saith Yahweh of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith Yahweh.
23.I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith Yahweh of hosts.
24.Yahweh of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
25.That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off
     their shoulders.
26.This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.
27.For Yahweh of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
