What is GROND you ask? Please read through this intro, and you can review the actual document from the link at the end of the following page.

If you are a fan of JRR Tolkien, you will know that Grond is the name of the great battering ram used by the forces of Mordor at the Gate of Minas Tirith.

Obviously I am not going to write an entire chapter on Orcish battering rams. Perhaps later if I get enough requests for one, accompanied with promises not to build them if I tell you how.

GROND refers to the collection of geopolitical and societal pressures I have catalogued, which we find ourselves confronted by on a daily basis. We are so continuously inundated with stresses, pressures, and influences, that it is overwhelming.

I'm not one for casually submitting to things I don't understand, so I took it upon myself to try to make sense of the world in the most objective way, by identifying the dynamics that influence us on a generally global scale, but most specifically targeted at western civilization.

This has been an ongoing project for a number of years now. Not that I spend a great deal of time on it at any one go, but I did recently make a really concerted effort to at least list the factors I would include in a comprehensive model. Prior to the recent undertaking I had it in mind to create a visual model, which would facilitate envisioning developments and events in the context of a three dimensional model.

I'm not so sure that is possible now. My earlier models had five or six groups or "classes" of items that interact with each other, but in the GROND document itself, you will see that there are more than twenty classes of inter-related groups that feedback and interact with each other in many ways. There are too many connections and dependencies, feedback loops, and synergistic relationships to present in any way that I know how to present in a comprehensible 3D model. Also, while I have been ambitious in cataloguing as much as possible, there may be some ommission remaining. That being said, it is very thorough.

The sum of what I found has an effect that is hard to discount as mathematical inevitability. It is possible, but after doing the work to build the model, I have to conclude that there are invisible hands directing outcomes to serve a purpose. I am remiss to put myself in any conspiratorial ambiance, but when the outcome is almost always in a certain direction, we can be sure it is not by chance.

GROND represents the sum of the negative conditions that effectively function as a battering ram against our way of life. Against traditional western Judeo-Christian values. I think it is a most effective acronym, and whether or not it is a formalized structure directing events and conditions against us (I don't think it is), it does at least serve that purpose and functions as if it were a coordinated effort.

As I said before, I don't see a monolithic organization deliberately oppressing us for the sake of oppression, but the reality of what is in place today does support the idea of a Global Regime Of Neutered Democracies.
